Walk for a world without Dementia

By November 13, 2016Uncategorized

Join us for Bedford Memory Walk this September!!!

With every step taken, you will help change the lives of people affected by dementia – now and in the future.

Starting in Everard Meadow, on the south bank of River Great Ouse, the short 2km takes you around the picturesque Embankment area by Longholme Boating Lake. This route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs (please note that the start area and main parking is on grass).

The longer 9km route goes around Priory Park’s lakes, fields and woodlands, before finishing with a walk around the Embankment area. This uses a mixture of paved footpaths, grass and woodland paths, so is not pushchair or wheelchair friendly. Don’t forget your wellies and walking boots! The routes are subject to change.

Parking is available in Everard Meadow, off Cardington Roundabout by Longholme Way. If you are using a Sat Nav use postcode: MK42 0BQ. Buses operate close to the event site. Check the council website for details.
